Got a few more newbies again, which always warms the cockles of my heart (medical professionals: What exactly are the cockles?)...

And of course the stalwart contributors have shown up in force, for which I am grateful...

So it looks as though the turnout's going to be pretty good! Thank you for being part of it again!

Thanks for being the spark behind some impressive blogging, Humorlife! Here's one more submission for you to consider: [post 3505465]
Being the spark is my pleasure... and there have been some wild contributions to this symposium, if a quick glance is any indication. I've had my hands full today, and haven't been able to enjoy them yet.

Thank you for your second dose... glad the topic moved you!

I wish the translator would give the familiar translation rather than the formal one. Or even better, a choice between them.

For blogging, I would rather be more friendly by using tu over vous for example.

I haven't studied French since 1972. And that was a few minutes worth in high school.

But that's not stopping me if I have some tools at my disposal. Thank you, Google!

    blog on!
Well ... you manage fine I must say. And I'm delighted you do so,
we're not that many to build ... bridges ... between languages.
A tool is nothing without a spirit to guide it. Kee yours goin'.

This symposium resulted in some great contributions. I have enjoyed reading them. Many are very educational, most are extremely creative, and I appreciated all of them. Thanks for being the coordinating force for the blogging submissions. Your efforts are appreciated. Thanks.

Contributors -- and I am delighted to include you in that group -- found this topic initially daunting, but ultimately were able to stretch and warp and play with it to a point where the offerings are, as you note, exceptional.

I am delighted to continue to coordinate it... I've always had a weakness for variations on theme, and every month I get an incredible cornucopia of variations. You keep contributing, and the symposium will keep going!

My reading's over, i found many posts to com.
Less contributors than usually ... and less sex, sigh. Of course it was a topic made more for tourism and poetry, but ...
I found a very rich monthly symposium, heading in many directions, opening a lot of doors, building bridges between bloggers.
There were more illustrations, too, which is something I strongly appreciate since my english is poorer than it seems.
Jim Morrison was there, three times, it touches me as I strongly thought of him for that topic.

You know what ? I'm happy.

Your topic -- and let's not argue over this, it was your topic -- brought out a wide range of reactions and contributions. I suspect a few more will trickle in... your reading isn't finished yet!

And... more than any other symposium (even "Food"!) this edition inspired contributors to include images in their posts. Who knows... maybe some that weren't familiar with how to incorporate images are now more comfortable doing so, and as a result we'll have more illustrations all around goign forward?

As I, too, am a longtime Doors fan, it was nice to see Jim Morrison pop up several times. What's the current state of his grave in Pere LaChaise Cemetery? I heard it was sinking...

I'm very happy, too! I hope you'll suggest more symposium topics!

Yep, let's not argue about it, it's OUR topic and I induced it. As I told you, i'll propose soon a three letters word
leading to poetry, observation of the nature or something round our hipbone soon, I"m quite sure you'll like it : )

About Jim's grave, I happen to have pais it my due respects a few weeks ago. Shortly, a lot of tourists waiting to shoot it
over the barrier surrounding it. Once upon a time it was a wild place for depredations, graffiti on the tombs around,
black Sabbath and so on. There are still marks nearby, broken stones ... I'm unsure he was wild enough to enjoy that.
He lies quietly today under flowers, brought by beloving people, I think, allowed to do so.
As a standard, I can't put here the photo I made but i consider a future post about visiting Père Lachaise with Gentillette

Hi, I made an attempt at writing something. I am not sure how to link things to you. I wrote two things. One is called A Prayer On A Bridge and the other is In Need Of A Handy Man. They are poems. You don't have to link them if you find they are not really indicative of the symposium. I just thought on the subject of doors, bridges and gates and came up with the two poems. This is what happens when you have no life...writing poetry on a Saturday night. Message me if you want to school me on this linking thing.
Welcome to the virtual symposium! I'll email you about links privately, but to be included on the master list you did everything correctly: You left a note here. Only a blog host can incorporate links into a main post.

For instance, you'd be able to link to this page in your blog, but I couldn't go in and include a link, except in the comments section.

The most important thing is that you contributed. Hope you enjoy (and comment on, if so moved) the other offerings!

I'm ashamedly but ultimately unashamedly lobbying for a virtual symposium topic - how about alter egos?
If the French can get a symposium topic, it's only fair the English get one!
Seriously, many thanks again for organising all this. It's very much appreciated.
