WARNING. Will be subject to legal ramifications.

No doubt you probably have seen this or something similar on peoples profiles. Dan and I find it amusing when we see statements like this. My husband Dan is a attorney, and he chuckles at this, because to actually attempt to prosecute someone for doing this would take a pocket full of money, plus a lot of man hours in and out of court. So what is your thoughts about this?

Kisses Angie.

Good point,

"With ignorance, there is fear"

The warning is put there to give the "newbies" a false sense of security.
I was in the computer service biz as the internet "evolved", no Al Gore didn't invent it....lol! Even in it's infancy, it was very difficult and time consuming to trace the source of a msg, not to mention the cost, in 70's dollars!

Good post, the first time I saw the "WARNING", I thought...WTF!

What kills me is that some put that warning at the top of the profile. The result is that the teaser, when you hover your mouse over a persons icon on here, only shows you the goofy warning. They lose that precious chance at a first impression.

That said, I used to have a similar statement on the end of my profile. It was intended pretty much as a middle finger at someone I know, purely in jest. Once the gag was over it came down. It's as BS as the confidentiality statements people put in their email signatures.
