What is it about a person when seeing them for the first time that really draws you in? For me it's usually a combination of things, but I think one of the biggest things is a smile. It makes someone seem a bit more approachable and friendly. It can travel over their whole body and demeanor. I think it lessens any fears that may be lurking in the back of my mind.
For sure body language is a powerful thing. And eyes can tell alot about a person. Windows to the soul and all that. Happy people are nice to be around. Not the super happy caffinated morning people that you just want to push out in front of a bus, but the ones that just have a good outlook on life even when it's not going the best. The ones that offer a hand up not a hand out.
Of course a fake smile is easy to spot too, so it's only a good thing if it's genuine. Otherwise you just look a little bit creepy. You don't want to look like Jack Nicholson in The Shining with that whole "Here's Johnny" schtick. No, that wouldn't be good.
I think my favorite smile though is when I'm seeing someone again tha means alot to me and they smile with their whole selves just because they're happy to see me. That whole happy puppy smile. Again, only good if I really like the person, otherwise, well just a bit uncomfortable.
I've been having a hard time getting a really good picture taken of me. My smile just doesn't seem to fit my face right. It seems put on mostly. I only seem to be able to make it reach my eyes when I'm super tired and my midgets are amusing me. Not good picture taking moments for me. Hmmm. Thank goodness for digital cameras! I can just delete when it suits me to do so. Well I'll keep working on that one.
I do have reasons to smile. So maybe one of these days I'll be able to snap a few good ones.
So anyone want to give me a reason to smile?

 Hey gorgeous what about the pic you sent me now thats a nice smile. Hell yeah use that one. Fake and wierd smiles are rather odd i mean look at nicholson as the joker! Mind you have a look at a dog when it smiles thats funny, But if you want a smile i'm here LOTS Cxxxxxx

 Best pictures usually happen when you don't know your picture is being taken. Of course so are the most embarrassing ones.
