The bigger picture Often times the view we project of ourselves does not reflect entirely who we are, it only shows a glimpse. It's like the saying, "there is no second chance for a first impression". One peek and some people think they have you all figured out. Oh how wrong they are! I've been told so many things by so many people that have taken the time to get to know me, and it amuses me to no end how hard they tried to put me in a box and label me, but were unable to find one that fit. I've been told at first glance that they thought I was scary if I happened to be wearing skulls or spiders or other such "frightening" things on that particular day. hehehehe! I've been told that someone thought I was a bit "delicate" because I happened to be wearing pink for work, and had my girls all decked out in pink with frilly little girly girl stuff on. I didn't own a single pastel thing for many years until I started working in a nursing home! I've been told I looked angry, when I was squinting because the sun was in my eyes. I've been told that they thought I was stuck up because I was in a quiet mood. I've been told that I looked too pretty to be down to earth. Had to be a pick up line. I mean really. I am no diva. I've been told that they thought I was rude, because I'm sarcastic and joke with my friends,(when they heard the friends laughing they understood that it was just a joke). I've been told that someone thought I must be a "narc" at work because I was super tired and didn't join into a conversation. As if! Anywho, I was thinking, this happens every day in real life, what about in blog land? Does just one post define a person and put them forever in that box with the label that just doesn't fit? I mean surely everyone has moments that are less than perfect and don't capture them as a whole. I got looking back and thought, shit, I could look like a total asshole there, a bitter bitch there, completely idiotic there, like a complete lush there....damn! Maybe I don't put my best foot forward all the time. Ah well. I'm human. And it's all ok I suppose. The ones that look again, well they see me right?  And the ones that don't, well fuck 'em. Figuratively that is.  I had a moment the other day when up at the ER getting my pipes checked out when the Doctor walked in the room to feel my glands and look in my throat ect. He saw that I had on skull and crossbones earrings, a spider necklace, and then looked over and saw my Tinkerbell purse. He grinned at me and said, "Well I never would've thought." I could only smile back but I was thinking, not many ever would either.   |

Yeah but reading your blogs you are thoughtfull,times of brilliance,then there are times that your emotional but deserve to be,very deep,then funny,respectful and caring, but most of all truthfull and that counts for a lot.I see you right hun, love the contrast between the skull cross bones,and spider to tinkerbell.A total devil with a hint of innocence and playfullness. Thats what makes you a real human. LOTS Cxxxxxxxx

Yeah but reading your blogs you are thoughtfull,times of brilliance,then there are times that your emotional but deserve to be,very deep,then funny,respectful and caring, but most of all truthfull and that counts for a lot.I see you right hun, love the contrast between the skull cross bones,and spider to tinkerbell.A total devil with a hint of innocence and playfullness.
