50 facts all about me

50 facts all about me 1. I have 3 brothers. I don't count the step-siblings that I didn't grow up with as relatives really. 2. My favorite color is red followed closely by black. 3. I've felt like I was really "in love" with 4 people, though I have felt love for others. 4. All of my have the same father. One of them has a different "mother". 5. I can and will laugh at most anything, even if it's painful to me. Maybe not right away, but I will eventually. It's a coping skill. 6. I can't dance at all. Not even a little. I still do though with my daughters only. I kinda feel bad for them then. They have way more "skills" than me.  7. I'm a bit shy. Sometimes more than a bit. Just depends on how comfortable I feel. When I'm relaxed though, you'd never know it. 8. I have a hard time asking for help even when I really want or need it. I'll struggle even when offered help sometimes. It's an independent streak I have probably. 9. I'm not a big fan of fast food. 10.I read a lot of books. 11.Sometimes I will really think about something that someone says for a long time before I respond to it fully. I may give a partial answer or a gut reaction answer to begin with, but if it means a lot to me, I'll get back to it. 12.I like vegetables. I was a vegetarian for about 5 years. 13.I did foster care with my first husband. I thought I was sterile and intended to adopt. I sometimes think it may be something I'd like to do again when my are all grown. 14.I was diagnosed with clinical depression when I was a . I took lots of different medications. None of them worked. I changed my life and I felt better. Sometimes I still get down, but I work hard to bring myself back up. Sometimes I need help with this from my friends. Sometimes nothing helps but my own self kicking my own ass repeatedly. I have been suicidal in the past. I fight those feelings from time to time, though I know I would not do that to my . 15.I actually love my job. I like to feel like I'm helping other people. It's the co-workers I sometimes have a hard time liking. 16.I try very hard to never lie. I can probably count on one hand the number of times I've lied in the past 14 years or so. I have been lied to repeatedly however. It one thing that will always make me angry. 17.I didn't celebrate my birthday until I was 17. Next year I'm going to have a sweet 16 party for myself. 18.I don't flatter people if I don't mean it. No sunshine blowing up anyone's ass. I try to always be sincere, unless I'm joking, in which case I try to be obvious. 19.I love sarcasm, but don't try to be mean to anyone unless I truly feel that they deserve to be knocked down a bit. Even then I hesitate to. 20.I'm very hard to upset, but when I am upset, I will let a person know that I am. 21.I'm harder on myself than anyone else is and expect more from myself than I expect from anyone else. 22.I obsess about things sometimes. 23.I sleep far less than I want to or should. 24.I have a hard time getting close to anybody, and when I am, it scares the hell out of me. 25.I think I'm intelligent. I've been told that I am. But sometimes I do really stupid things. 26.I tend to overshare sometimes. 27.I hate saying "I love you too". I'd rather say I love you to someone that I feel that for than to feel obligated to return the sentiment. Even when I really feel that way. 28.I've always felt that I've given more feelings than I've recieved. 29.I like being generous but sometimes I end up feeling used. 30.I hate talking on the phone unless I know someone very well, even then I hate to call. 31.I'm not materialistic hardly at all. I don't care what anyone drives, where they live, or what they wear. Status symbols make me laugh. I'm much more concerned about what kind of a person someone is on the inside. 32.I love fast and "scary" rides. 33.I wish I had more free time without my sometimes, but I feel that they are my life for the moment. Anyone that really wants to know me and spend any real time with me needs to respect that, support that, and not be afraid to join me in that. 34.I sometimes wonder if anyone will ever like all of me for exactly who I am, and be likable to me as well. 35.I like quiet activities and enjoy comfortable silences too. Life doesn't have to be full of loud activities and have a thrill a minute to keep me entertained and interested. 36.I always try to be the kind of a friend that I'd want to have. 37.Sometimes I feel very lost and afraid. 38.I can take a lot of pain, and don't like to take medication unless I'm really suffering. This doesn't mean that I like pain though. 39.I've done things to please others that I didn't enjoy. I won't be doing these things again. Live and learn. 40.I try new things a lot. I'm open to suggestions, but I definately have a mind of my own and will not be pressured into anything I don't want to do. 41.I fully believe that actions speak louder than words. 42.I don't think anyone has ever seen every side of me. 43.My favorite beer is Corona with lime or lemon. 44.I actually like to do things that are physically challenging sometimes. 45.I have a hard time sitting still sometimes. 46.I hate doing dishes and taking out the trash. I enlist my minions more often than not. Thank goodness for the dishwasher! 47.I've done things that I'm not proud of. I try to not repeat my mistakes. 48.I'm the first person to admit it when I'm wrong and see it myself and either apologize, and or try to fix it. I'm not afraid of constructive criticism. 49.3 has almost always been a "lucky number" for me. 4 has been the opposite. 50.I really enjoy writing in my blog and getting comments. I also enjoy reading other's blog's and making comments when I feel that I can add something, or make someone smile or laugh. Having people "watch me" is a really amazing thing I think. I'm always glad to know that I've amused or made someone feel or think something. I appreciate you all for keeping tuned in, even on my less than brilliant and non-amusing days.  |

That’s an interesting list you put together here! We have nearly half of them in common.  The Corona beer thing has me concerned about you, but I’m pretty sure I can get past that...eventually. Thank you for sharing this little piece of you with all of us. H.

It was my parent's religious beliefs that led to that. Clearly I broke free from them. Thank you for your comment.
