How brave are you/Mounting your elders Greetings to all the members of the Perv Nation out here in the Bloglands. I hope everyone out there is making it through the week. I'm trying to be a bit lighter so here are a couple ideas that occurred to me. I heard Jimmy Buffett's line in the song "Knee Deep", "Wrote a note, said be back in a minute. Bought a boat and I sailed off in it. Don't think anybody is going to miss me anyway." Would you be brave enough to do this? I honestly don't think I am. I'd have to burn my phone to start with since I'm sure most of the people I know would be horribly upset that I'm not living in a way they approve of. Now for the second section. As I look 40 dead square in the eye I'm not really worried it's just a number and I don't feel that old.(most of the time  ) I could live without the grey hairs but such is life.But as I plummet towards middle age I was curious. Does the younger woman/older man thing only work in Hollywood or with the rich and famous? Now before every woman who is chronologically superior to me virtually hangs me from the nearest tree, I am more interested in the person than the chronology thank you very much. This is just a curiosity. If I recall right twentysomethings didn't like me much when I was in my 20's let alone now when I'm older greyer fatter and balder!  Well I'd better get out of here before I dig myself into an even deeper hole! Take it easy guns are cold.  Take it easy, guns are cold.  |
