A day out in the town of Leek.

Jess and I took a drive out to Leek today. It's a nice quick drive from Stoke on Trent.
As we arrived, the car decided to pull another issue out of it's bottomless trunk of problems. Something is rattling. If the revs drop to idle speeds, for example at lights, she rattles like a diesel taxi cab.
I suspect it's simply a loose exhaust guard.

We went to Leek to look for a nice chair at the antique shops.
However, no luck today. We decided to start looking at prams and pushchairs. We're just looking at the moment until the scan shows us how many we're expecting. However we're starting to make a few firm plans.

I want one of those baby sling things. That way, Jess or I will be able to go shopping without the hastle of a big push chair.
Nothing is cooler than being a dad and doing dad things.
I also love the jealous looks Jess gets from other women, when they see me being a dad.

We also want a decent car seat. So many expensive but poorly padded car seats out there. Mother care store had loads of examples on display, but half of them were hung on the wall too high to touch. WFT?
Same for Pushchairs and prams. All stuck to the shop wall, fifteen foot in the air. Hmmm well sorry. We need to hold something like that before we spend a fortune and inflict it on a new born baby.
We took another drive to another store, mammas and pappas, and found things we could actually touch. Lots of sturdy beautiful strollers. Not sure how the average car owner can carry one, three and a whole load of shopping.
Hmmm, perhaps we'll be doing our grocery shopping on-line next year.

Opus......Whoops. Yes, sorry about that. Jess is pregnant. We're hoping for a nice easy pregnancy and a healthy addition to our family. We've got the tense wait for the scan in a month.

As an infrequent visitor I was unaware till now that Jess was expecting.

CONGRATULATIONS to you both.

Good luck, and say goodbye to regular sleep patterns for the next 2 years.
