Funny you used Alanis as your song memory...I have some of hers rolling around in my head too. She just has a way of evoking some strong feelings I think...I have to say that most of her songs evoke some memory or thought when I listen to them...and of course none will come to my mind as I write this...sigh...but good choice of evocative artist...

Sarah McLachlan - "I Will Remember You" It makes me tear up, not just from the lyrics but from how the music invades my soul. I used to be a dancer in my younger days, and some songs just creep into my core. The other one that has a bunch of emotions tied to it is Etta James' version of "At Last." It was played at my wedding as our first dance. It was exactly how I felt about my X on that day and every day up until he left. I still love the song, again it gets into my soul...it's kinda a bluesy melody that gets me every time.
