Ya ever get up and figure on doing something good and right, only to have the day go wrong?
I feel as if today was an episode of Heehaw.
I had a barber shop moment or two when I felt like I was going to get something done, and then things fell through.
then went on to something else that didn't look like it was gonna do much, to find I did things right.
then back the other way again.
and back again.
and again.
yes, it was one of those sort of days.
Though to be honest the whole year has felt that way.
I know it has had ups and downs, as most of 'em do, so can't rightly complain.
but dang.
some days just leave you shakin' your head.
On the plus side, I didn't get arrested.
I didn't have to shoot anything, or chase anyone off with a gun.
I didn't even have to raise my voice today.
so all things considered, it was probably a good day.
even if it felt like I missed every other step.
but as it is the end of the night, the fire is warm, and the stars are bright, I just might spend a moment lookin' up and being thankful I can do that.
who knows, I might even have a sip of moonshine and call it a night before the moon sets.
as some one once told me, it is the little things in life.
they either make it or break it.
