I have never tasted wine so have no idea ....... or beer for that matter ...... or spirits ........ yes I'm weird   Drop in and visit my blog sometime, but you'll probably regret it

Hi there, my first thought is that you may drink the chilled white faster than the room temp red. Red usually has a higher alcohol content by a bit.

Perhaps it is that you start to drink it before you start eating and drink it quicker. Gewürztraminer from Alsace is my favourite. Did you know that there are only two types of wine in the world? don't know why... I don't drink too much wine, but for me red wine is not to my taste. White is lighter to me. And yes because of that (I think anyway) it goes down smoother and I tend to get buzzed pretty easily. By the way the best way to drink any wine is to share it with someone special.... love to share one with you sometime if you like.

I think a lot of folks would say that it's all in the head, literally in this case. But I have seen for myself what a change in drinking diet can do. Way back in my early drinking years I had a friend who seemed to be totally immune to alcohol. I have seen him drink as many as 20 pints of beer along with a few whisky chasers with seemingly no effect although he was a bit of a cracker even when he was sober. But then once on a camping holiday he had a few glasses of scrumpy (a very rough but delicious apple cider) and it knocked him out cold. The theory was that the higher sugar content causes you to absorb the alcohol faster although the scrumpy still had about double the alcohol content of beer. Anyhow these days I only drink wine with food and irrespective of the type of wine I will always get a splitting headache long before I get dafter than I am already. Sir Teezalot WAR IS ABSURD

MissK...I have an occasional glass of wine, usually with a meal. I don't drink much now-a-days because I get a tingling sensation in my feet and toes (I thought it was suppose to go to your head). In my youth wine usually gave me the worst headache the next morning. Ahhh.. the Boone's Farm nights.

I prefer any drier wine,red or white. I know someone who gets buzzed faster on red wine. I would fantasize about trickling wine down your breasts and belly,then lick it from you

I don't like white, but it does have a higher alcohol content in some cases, something about the fermentation process. I prefer a burgundy generally, but I really don't do the wine snobbery thing. I like everything from Algerian red to Sangria. I am a bigger snob about champagne though.  Lust brings you together, love keeps you there, sex keeps the mechanism lubricated.

I'm with you - give me a red wine any day over a white one. I think the buzz you get quicker with white, is we tend to drink it quicker, and thus more of it, than we do red's. Just my two cents worth

well normally red wines are stronger than white wines. but the alchool grade varies, and probably the white your are drinking is stronger thaen the red one. Kisses
