First things first. Your legs are exquisite and succulent. I try to respond to all comments. A very few can be a chore. It's a strain trying to carry on a conversation with the Sextuple X Turk- Christ knows I've tried,and so has mcmaniac. Now and then- again, not often, a comment will be so obscure that I have no clue what they're trying to communicate. Or if they're trying to communicate at all. I agree that if a reader takes the time to comment in a polite way that it's courteous to respond. When I comment repeatedly on a blog and receive no response, I get the message- "Go away and don't come back." So that's what I do. Become a member now and get a free tote bag.

So yes, I respond to any and all comments that are left on my blog. I LOVE reading comments and sometimes a conversation may get going and I love that too. It's one of the reasons I blog, to get interaction. And I'll be honest, in many cases, if the blogger does not respond to my comment ... then I stop following them. I don't have time to comment and be treated like it doesn't matter. If they don't want to respond to my comment, then they don't need it in the first place. And I agree with kzoopair ... nice legs ... and red toenail polish. I have to believe most don't for fear that they may be taken as showing an interest(women).95% of those that do(men) do so in five words or less.Rarely are they ever responding to the content of the blog but rather to the writer. I will always respond to comments on my blog.I have noticed that there are a lot more people that aren't sure about how or what to think about anything at any time! Using more than all the road!

I pretty much reply to all comments on my blog, but there aren't many, so it's not the same as being a woman being deluged by several dozen or hundreds for every posting. That can't be easy to keep doing. But nothing worse than friends only blogs or just posting and then ignoring all responses

Very sexy legs.  I always reply to comments on my blog because I enjoy the interaction. I don't always leave comments on someone's blog, but when I do, I am happy when they reply back. Overall, I think this site is on the downswing. There are very few members left in my area whereas there used to be a ton of people years ago. You're looking very 'leggy' today I used to find it harder to catch up if I missed a day reading the blogs but today I found I managed to catch up more quickly. I always try to quote back at the comments I receive.

I always respond to comments, although my responses may not be in a timely manner. Me enjoying the deck this morning... I think you need to change a letter in the word deck. Thoughts from the Garden...

I had a mentor too when I started blogging and he told me to always reply to any comments left on my blog. I hate to think that I may miss a comment and am forever checking as I don't want to be rude.  I think that newer bloggers seem to treat this like FB and maybe make one reply to thank everyone who comments....that is a pity because I expect to find my replies in "where I am quoted" and if I don't get a response repeatedly.....I don't comment again on that blog. I don't have time to revisit a blog post and see if they have made any sort of acknowledgement of my comment. ~~Anais Nin~~

I comment on the few blogs I read because the blogger returns the comment, which allows a relationship to develop over time, particularly when I was also blogging and comments are traded. Sometimes the comments lead to additional comments where the bloggers learn something about the other. Consistent blogging can lead to relationships of the best sort. And yes Kinky, your legs and A1's are almost identical!

I try to respond to every comment.....it may take a bit of time but at some point, I have a few minutes. Same goes for me commenting on the bloggers I watch. If I don't have thoughtful words, I pass on the comment, but that rarely happens

I've noticed that fewer bloggers reply to the comments left on their blog post. Like you, I reply, though it may take me a few days, as I like the interaction between bloggers.

I do comment on blogs in case I think I can add something. Otherwise I just shut up. Do I know that I'm being quoted in response? Yes, I do know that. There is a button "where am I being quoted" which I click. This helps me to read the responses I've received. And I like those responses. If somebody responds to any of my blog posts (which is rare) I receive an email alert.

I too was told by my mentor to respond to comments on my blog. I have noticed that "newbies" are not doing this. I reply to all comments, for exactly the same reason you do. (As you've no doubt also noticed) I also comment on nearly every post I read. I don't agree with the concept of "someone else already said it, so no need" since I think knowing others agree is important too. Yes, the blogs seem in the summer doldrums - but those sexy legs are sure getting attention!! Nothing like white shorts and sexy legs to announce Summer is officially here. I always respond to comments on my blog. On some of the blogs I read, I will not always get a response, but I still enjoy the blog and reading others' comments. I don't know how some bloggers have time to respond and blog, given how prolific they are. I always appreciate your comments and responses, of course!
