Imagination . . .

Fascinating how many of us freeze when someone says "Use your imagination-pique my interest". We know that many of the folks on this site are imaginative, intriuging, adventurous people. Why, then, do so many of us find ourselves with at least temporary verbal disfluency (aka 'tongue tied, and not in the good way)when asked to demonstrate? Do you find expressing sexual iagination more fluidly expressed through words or through pictures?

Talk to me . . . .

Sometimes when writing thing do just lock up for lack of a better word. If put on the spot suddenly and you can just wonder ummm what to put first. Usually though once you can get past the first couple of sentences things ideas being to flow. For myself I do use visualization when writing. I find it helps with the setting and besides it is a bit of a turn on as well. The imagery does not have to be solely through pictures along. Words verbal cues can I find ignite the creative writing just as well. Its more for me using my mind to create the imagery. Pictures of course lend them selves to that but a phrase or suggestion works just as well. To answer the question picking one my answer would be pictures, its easier to visualize but words can work just as well.

I think everyone is too afraid to offend someone else. We have been tuned into thinking about being politically correct! Say what is on your mind. Say what you want.

Speaking/verbalizing relies on a different set of skills than drawing or taking a picture. Well at least I think so. In verbal you describe the image with a picture you capture the image. For myself it would verbalizing. I always manage to tilt the camera lol

The two absolutely do use different, but inter-related, parts of the brain. Personally, I love hearing the verbalizing and frequently find it wonderfully, distractingly scintillating. Ever played the silent game? What are thoughts on that?

I can not say that I ever have played the silent game myself. I used the internet to get a sense of the game and I would think it would be both interesting and challenging. That being said there are a lot of subtle clues that people exhibit that can be interpreted. Some individuals do excel at reading these slight changes in expression posture even what the person is looking at. I am a lot better now at interpreting these clues than when I was younger. I was a bit clueless then lol. Of course if you know some one well the clues are much more evident.

By knowing your likes/dislikes, I use that information to storm up a scenario. It then has a better chance of you connecting with it and seeing things happen with you being the star
Just check out my one blog, "you work late Pt1" of course it's a teaser as I have more to add.
