~_~ Power out  ),last evening, when I got back in from the day and started to post to folks in the blogs. I heard a loud explosion and there were multiple flashes of light and the lights went out. It was a bit of a "flash back" to my time in Iraq and Afghanistan. Well I picked myself up from under a table and investigated the source. A power transformer just next to my property had literally exploded. So now what to do? No power and the furnace is out do to lack of electricity. Fire up the woodstove put a pot of coffee on the stove. But time in the dark could have been better spent  . When or if you have a power outage(s), how do you occupy your time, or how would you like to? (by the way the power came back maybe an hour ago)Now, I will catch up on your comments     |

I dislike the dark. So under the blankies and home there is a warm body with me

During power oputages - we call them power cuts here - I will spend time with whoever is around chatting in the dark!

Wow Pal thinks do come back to you when events happen like this. Since I live in a power outage area I normally have lots of big lights now to keep me well lit. Do some reading when the power is off. I got a radio now I can put on too. Really should look at getting a generator soon hugs V Become a blog watcher sweet_vm

That happened here last week a transformer blew, and there isn't much you can do just talk to people it does make the time go by faster for sure. I hope they got it fixed right away.. Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

We went through that a week or so ago. We got more powerful storms than expected and lost power several times. Too bad there was nobody to cuddle with.

Those things are extremely loud...especially so close to you...I would hope I had someone to cuddle with,and have a cup of hot tea,with candles.....mmmmm [image]
