very interesting perspective here, what a GRAYt post

    Sorry, couldn't resist

I have been experiencing random grayness for about 7 or 8 years now. Eh, just like getting thin on top I knew it would happen, who cares?

Steve Martin's hair started turning gray when he was 15 He colored it of course for a little while, but I guess he just accepted it was going to be gray and didn't think twice about it
I couldn't see Steve Martin be anything else except the gray I know him to be. In that regard, I could reason to understand how the appeal of such could be an impressive thing with those who enjoy it.

Thanks stopping in!

This is simply a Rite of Passage, in the scheme of life; some people are puzzled by the change, while others panic because it seems to them it's the end of the world as they know it. It's part of the ticking clock; how you end up watching time go by will depend on how you accept what's coming next. In this case, gray hair seems to the minute by minute thing for me. Since you favor the icing on the cake in relation the gray matter, then I'll definitely paint you the pic of me shining that shade of color your direction.

Thanks for stopping in

I actually wanted to get grey hair since I was about your age, but got the first two or three greys after turned 40. Now, my hair is mostly grey, I never dyed it, and my hairdresser says that it would be a crime to do so.
Many women, myself included, love grey hair on men.
Haha, it's definitely growing on me, that's for sure

Thanks for reading, stop by again!

A little younger than you my first gray hair came as a bit of shock, we've long since made our relative peace with each other. Niceto readd this perspective.
I always try to angle life from a different view to see if from where I am sitting whether or not there might be something I missed before. This is a point where it's not only back and white, the gray in between makes a shade on a top worth discussing.

Nice to see you again, stop by more often!

Interesting to hear from a young man's point-of-view.
When I was 29, I found 3 long grey hairs that were visible in the up-do that I had done for my job at the bank. They were well over 9 inches long and made me realize that I had been growing them for years.
Now that I am in my 50s, I definitely treasure my grey hairs, though they are still far and few between. The alternative would be that I stopped growing any hairs because I would no longer be growing anything due to death...
Treasure everything that happens to you, to your body and to your mind,
    Kitkat
I try to take this experience in aging as a sign that maybe there's a different physical path for me in regards to what happens on the top of my noggin'. As I continue to read each and every response, I'm a little more calm about the idea of keeping the gray for gray sake because it is a part of who I am. Anything less I'm pretty much short-changing myself.

Thanks for stopping in again!

Last time I truly did that was back when I was experimenting with blond highlights; let's say I kind of outgrew that phase in my life.

I'm sure you can find all sorts of opinions about grey hair, just like you can with balding or long hair or anything really. I think the key is since it is your way, make it your way!
I wish I could have one of each kind of hair style that way I could change it up during the week if I find it isn't working out for me.

Thanks for swinging by; please come again!

Found my first gray hair when I was right around your age. Consider it a reminder to keep a youthful outlook.

As my barber tells me when I note how much gray currently piles up when I get a haircut, "A bald man wishes he had your problem."

(Some do, some don't. Don't hold me responsible for what my barber says, even if I do quote it here in support of my argument.)

Thank you for being part of the symposium again!

HAHAHA, never realized that notion till I got to the gym and saw the sterile line of mop tops jogging in place

It wouldn't so bad if the gray wasn't in patches on my head; it's starting to look like patch job in the same way people put different shades of color on walls to see what matches...

yes, I have the same issue....I am "graying" and I don't like it. In fact not gray, my hair is more "silver." The silver hair is not like my black hair- it is wiry and unruly- it stands up and at odd angle (it wont lie flat)! To make matters worse, I can't color it. Grey hair has some pigment left but my silver hair has no pigment left, thus to color your hair you need to have some pigment for the dye to hold onto. I learn the hard way! LOL!
Ever thought of spiking it with that just-got-out-of-bed look and see where that gets you? You might even get a few interesting looks from women who would enjoy that kind of appeal

Thanks for stopping in!

Embrace the gray hairs, they make a man look distinguished. When I was probably 19 or 20 I saw an older man relaxing at a festival with his shirt off. His hair was white as was his chest hair, I knew at that moment that I would want to be with a man with white or gray hair when I got older. He just looked sexy to me even when I was at that young age. Just be happy with yourself and other's will take their lead from you. Thanks for sharing.
I'd accessorize my do the same way I would put on some nice threads so everything matches.; As for gray, the question becomes a darker shade vs a lighter shade.

Thanks for stopping in, swing by again.

Between black and white are colors, not only gray. As hair, forelocks of different colors,
even salt and pepper, are charming to me ...

    Thanks for sharing.
When I was much younger, I considered just having purple hair and see the kind of reaction that would come from it. Part of me wants to, but thanks for the professionalism of the job, I'm pretty much just sticking with sexy conservative for now.

Awe Cookies, a little gray is soo sexy on a man. Besides when you pluck out the grays they just come back, speaking from experience lol. It's all about attitude...take those gray hairs as a symbol of maturity and wisdom.

    Have a good day~
I was considering speeding up the process and dying my hair gray and see where that takes me; the more I think about it, the more having the idea of a different shade of gray becomes even more appealing.

Always tell the truth
Use kind words
Keep your promises
Giggle and laugh
Be positive
Love one another
Always be grateful
Forgiveness is mandatory
Try new things
Say please and thank you
Say your prayers
