I opted for "no-I post all kinds of things I like, not concerned if others like it or not", but "yes-I post to create debate/discussion" also applies.

I don't really post anything personal. Usually it's just stuff that happens on the site, moronic messages, etc.

It is nice to see that people are viewing, but I'm not naive enough to think that actually means anything. It doesn't mean the people viewing it necessarily like it, or that they've even read it in its entirety. I often click on a blog because of the title, only to find it has nothing to do with the content and don't read further than the first line or two.

I don't see myself as any kind of writer. If people get a laugh from reading anything I've written, then I'm happy with that. And I certainly don't care if people don't like what I post.

I went with "no, I post all kinds of stuff" since my blog posts tend to cover all types of topics of interest to me. I know some of my posts have pissed off people since they told me so in the comments

Several of your options might apply to my motivations. But my motivations change from day to day. Sometimes I just want to get something off my chest. Sometimes I want to invite a discussion, sometimes I just think I'm being funny.

For each posting and it's purpose, I have differing hopes for how much interest or feedback it gets. But no matter the ambitions, I never let it bother me if a posting draws a big fat zero.

I post a variety of things I am interested in. I don't post with an "agenda." Although a couple of my posts seemed to hit a nerve with a few people.

I write to offer a roadmap of what I have learned on this site as a roadmap for others to avoid some of the pitfalls that I have found. My style of writing is intended to be provocative in the hope of receiving feedback (either positive or negative) and to open a line of discussion. The number of comments has been putrid but writing also helps me sort out the nuances of this genre for my own benefit.

Be safe, relax and just have fun!

Writing is a release and an escape. I do it because I enjoy it. I will admit that I enjoy it more when I share it with others. If I write something erotic and someone comments that they were aroused by reading it, I like that. If I write about an everyday topic and someone comments that they can relate to it, then It makes me feel good. Receiving comments are like having your ego stroked, they're encouraging.

Other- I started blogging at first to vent ideas, thoughts, feelings that i really felt i could not express on other social sites without friends or family being friends an family. There was a comfort in yelping in front of strangers. I also kinda hoped it might spark some conversation, "meeting" new people, maybe connect. Epic Fail with very few comments and nor real conversation. Same thing happened on ALT. My last blog was as much a mental sticky note for something i may never develop (no comments as of now).

I also started polls to get an honest, sometimes nosey, answer to things. Also, a bit of a failure.

They all had some appreciable numbers of views. Not as good as i have seen on many, and even fewer votes (for polls), and fewer comments.

I post all kinds of things that are important to me, but if nobody read them or commented, then it wouldn't be worth the effort.

Blogs are what I call an open eye into the mind and thoughts of the blogger at the time. They can change with input but only if the blogger interacts with others. post3506167

I don't know I post to get things out of my head or off my chest. I read to learn a little something now and again. I can't honestly say I don't care if people read and comment... I like people reading and commenting... I'm sure there's a payoff for me in there somewhere...

Do me a favor...go look at one of my other posts and make a comment... please...

It's a decent way to get things off your chest or to throw Ideas out there.Try and be creative mostly. My what is a blog? Was a mistake to put on facebook I have gotten way to many responses.I think that too many people think that commenting on someones blog shows interest. So they never do.

Using more than all the road!
