Heterosexual Pride Day is ridiculous, whatever next?! White Man's Pride Day?

I see it as the moment of birth, everyone is "different".....even twins! What we become is who we are.....it's "life"...period. Be proud of who we are and let NO man (Woman) put us under!! Pride is an inwardly directed emotion that carries two antithetical meanings. With a negative connotation pride refers to a foolishly[1] and irrationally corrupt sense of one's personal value, status or accomplishments, used synonymously with hubris. With a positive connotation, pride refers to a humble and content sense of attachment toward one's own or another's choices and actions, or toward a whole group of people, and is a product of praise, independent self-reflection, and a fulfilled feeling of belonging.(Copied from 'oogle) I'm proud of who you ladies are and who I am!!!

 . I guess next will be whining that the sun is not up long enough or too long . When I see or hear this silliness, I just stare at them or ignore them, with the knowledge they will disappear soon. Ha ha, you are making me smile. But actually, there is a serious point in here somewhere. One - there is a lot of "majority bashing" which goes un noticed, especially in circles where people in a sizeable minority consider themselves a bit trendy. Mostly it doesn't matter, but you are right - abusing someone with a different mindset to your own is still abuse, even if you think they ought to be able to take it because they are in a majority. More importantly, at least in my opinion, is this: The mere fact that this goes on shows that people, even people who think they know and act better because they have experience of being discriminated against, are still fixated by the differences between each other, and rather than enjoying the variety, want to silence, or even eradicate those whose views are different, in a desire to validate their own. It is that which leads to all bigotry I think. By the way, I have never had any children, and I don't expect to now. I like women, and I don't want to have sex with men, so I am a hetero, but not a breeder! OMG What the hell am I???!!!???!?!?!?!!?!??!?!
