Everything Will Die

Everything Will Die
Everything will die
a season set to live and past
we all have the same
a beginning and an end
we can live slow
or we can live fast
matters not to Time
steady keeps flowing past
we can set ourselves
to in commerce make our mark
we can seek out piety
or avoid all chance of sobriety
will not matter nought
we all know our Time is bought
by the deal entered into
we begin and we end
everything will die
I think as you turn away
the time we had is gone
those lips shall no more meet mine
instead we turn and head upon our way
Time neither slows or speeds today
need to make the choice
how you are going to live
for there is a finite time
everything has a season
to sew and grow and reap
ours to decide what we do
before the journey end we meet.
