When I think about human nature I find it funny how easily led we are by words.
The meaning of things change according to how our minds work.

When we are young, give it to me, means I want what you have put out of my reach.

With our siblings, give it to me, means you are arguing over a piece of coveted, crap that you both think you want at the moment.
From the standpoint of a woman in love, give it to me, could refer to a ring or a promise.

For those who just want everything and want someone else to provide it, give it to me, means go get me things and then I will pretend to like you or let you buy me until I want the next thing.

and for the purposes of this site when you here the phrase give it to me I know you are expecting a story or a discourse on how I want to be fed your sausage.

I am a player when it comes to words and phrases and when I can I like to teach with what I write so in this case I will say, give it to me, is a way of eliciting feedback.

Oh yes< give me your feedback

tell me what you want

and perhaps if you ask in the right way, at the right time, you just might get it.

 You are exactly right! I have done posts in the past that have a title that some may take totally different from what my post was actually about. The title is the hook and the post is the bait for comments! I hope that you have a great day and a happy Easter!
