What is Drama?

As we try and meet with other people on this site, one thing we notice is a lot of posts contain the words, "No drama" somewhere in them. I have also noticed that this can be a very hard request to fulfill, because everyone has their own definition of this "drama".

For example, there are times that we are sitting with either a new couple, or old friends, doesn't matter, and I suddenly find that my ex, or someone else's, has been suddenly invited to the meet. Now, I don't mean physically, but, suddenly we are rehashing every little thing they did wrong at one point or another. I classify this as "drama", and try to avoid it. But, recently I discovered that a certain couple won't meet with us again because they found my avoidance in discussing my ex-wife to be "drama".

Here is my question; What is your definition of "drama" and what steps would you take if a meet suddenly started to turn "dramatic"?

For me, drama would be someone going out of their way to stir the pot. To deliberately try and upset, or to cause trouble.

I wouldn't consider not wanting to talk about your ex as drama!
