Top'O'The Morning Top'O'The Morning Folks. You all know today is a day that everything, including the Chicago River gets a green hue added for St Patrick's Day. Of course we all know that St. Patrick brought Christianity to Ireland and legend has it he drove all the snakes away too. I'll bet you didn't know that he comes from a wealthy English family and at the age of 16 he was kidnapped by Gaelic warriors and held for three years as a slave in Ireland until his escape when he became a priest and came back to Ireland and as Paul Harvey used to say "Now you know the rest of the story". Wikipedia can be educational....LOL. Another holiday today is Submarine Day. I know it has nothing to do with St. Patrick, but I try to throw something different in here at times as well. How many folks remember in high school going to the submarine races at the local lake? I do, only we just called it parking back then. And even now parking somewhere secluded, with a willing partner that is, can be rather enjoyable. But I have to admit I miss those big back seats of the land yachts like our parents drove back then. Well anyway........wear your green or take the chance of getting pinched. Eat your corned beef and cabbage, drink your green beer or have a Guinness. Enjoy the spirit of things today folks.
