I believe if you make them friends and they are standard members they can then look at your profile and pics which they can't do if you don't. It is a way for them to get the benefits of membership without spending the money.

i accept all friends and for those who think its a popularity contest are just jealous...if i wanted to show how popular i was i would have my FAN thing set up instead of disabled. Like someone mentioned they can view your pictures when you add new ones and see your activity feed...it's up to you some keep it small some like it large like me...one can never have too many friends in life    je ne regrette rien

ok here is what I know & have found out ... If you add standard members as friends they can see your profile only ... But as for what you may want to do about your problem is Just decline they ones you not sure about and maybe add the others depending on their profile which you can view without adding them ...
