winters first blast
winter is arriving so early.
we have a tradition in our family when we get hit with the first blast of winter I make Italian beef veggie soup I make enough for any army because I t is a habit when the word spreads people ask to come.. not these days not since my grandma passed away she started the tradition..
food is so connected to my mourning, family and traditions its one of the ways o remember those who have passed.. I hate that my extensive family no longer follows our family traditions, but I will not let them die nope no way

so old and new friends who wants some of the best veggie soup ever made ?

this is the pot that will be filled with yummy soup

 We've had constant rain all day here. One consolation is that it's not bitterly cold...yet!

 It's pretty miserable here today and soup would be lovely thanks.

I am lucky....one of my children uses the recipes which have been handed down through generations of my family.
