I also don't play with married men...I've been the other woman, unwillingly because he lied to me, and it's not fun at all, for anyone involved. I recently had a string of e:mails from a guy who stated on his profile that he is single but in the very first e:mail to me, he confessed he was married, hoped that didn't make a difference as he was being honest about it, etc. I responded, said ty for being honest about it but I just don't play with married men. He replied, very angry that he didn't get any points for being honest and what good is it to be honest if it doesn't get him anywhere. I told him there are two scenarios: first one, he lies about being married, chats with and develops a relationship with a woman and then she finds out and he has just lost all her respect, assuming she stated from the beginning she didn't play with married men. Second scenario: he tells women he is married and gets their respect for being honest. Yes, it means less action but at least whatever action you do get, won't end up crashed and burned. There are many women on the site. If a married guy wants to fool around, that's his choice...but don't choose a woman who states right on their profile they aren't going to play around with married men. That's pretty funny. You were very kind in your response. I must say, I get a bit tired of it all; attached, separated, gf, fb, fwb, married, living together, any of it. I don't give an inch. I don't want it or need it. Any of those situations will have "drama" involved. I do not like being negative, in my profile, so I just have no married or attached. They still try. In your shoes, I would have avoided this guy not because he was married but because he's not very clever. He didn't get your reasons for rejecting him and kept pushing against a closed door. I don't know why his wife messaged at all – no real impact on you as you'd said all the right things and presumably she would have had 'words' with him before he checked his email. I've been here blogging for years and I've never been looking for someone to meet, but I do notice the effect profiles and blog comments have on what image I form of the person behind the words and whenever I see anything about not wanting any drama it always makes me think "HMMMmmmmmmm? " They just wouldn't think of writing that unless they WERE people who are always creating drama!

Agree about the Drama free statement. As far as the reason, for me it was THAT infrequent and it seemed that was a way to keep the peace and stop arguing about it. In retrospect I should have just left.
