The Most Frustrating Things About Blogging Here
The Most Frustrating Things About Blogging Here I imagine others have a number of frustrations in regard to blogging here. My 2 main frustrations are, in no particular order: Mind numbingly negative people and posts. They seem to have caused the loss, IMO, of a number of interesting bloggers who have left in the 15 months I have been blogging. Unfortunately that seems to be the nature of anti-social media and the inter/web/nets. There are a number of intelligent, sweet, sexy and lovely women who I would love to meet. No I won’t name them on a post but you should all know who you are - all of you live far away. But you are also one of the few reasons I stay here. When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself. |

I agree with you on that statement.. I mostly try to keep positive on my blog and not be very negative as most don't like reading this kind of stuff. If you keep it fun then they will be back. Yes.... Most of the nice people whom everyone wants to meets from this site does lives a million miles away Red. Become a blog watcher sweet_vm

Yup...distance sucks balls....I completely agree. And yes...i am finding a lot of blogs seem to lean towards the negative these days...there is a lot of complaining going on, as well as all these stupid blog wars and stuff. I stay here because of all the awesome people I interact with. When I win the lottery I will do a blog land tour around the world and go meet everyone.... Now wouldn't that be fun? When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

I don't mind the long posts so much. What I mean is that the posts aren't showing when they are supposed too and the same with the comments.

I agree about the negative vibe in so many blogs now....it has been the cause of me no longer watching a few bloggers....I stay for the friends I have made over the years. I think some of the long posts are a result of members realising the post will hit the trending list if it has enough words....even if it gets no comments! Crazy site lol!! ~~Anais Nin~~

I agree, a number of bloggers that I used to 'watch' are either posting sporadically or have stopped altogether. Posts and comments are also taking an age to read now to make matters worse.

Have to agree with you, but the blogging is probably the best part of the site.

Mind numbingly negative people and posts. They seem to have caused the loss, IMO, of a number of interesting bloggers who have left in the 15 months I have been blogging I'm not sure I can agree with that, or at least I think it's an oversimplistic way of looking at a complex set of circumstances. This slice of the blogosphere has gone through cycles before where people were upset and threatened to leave (I don't think you were here for the great Fuck A Slut brouhaha). In the end, people either stayed and a number of those who left eventually came back. When people leave, it's generally because of a significant shift in their life; a move, new relationship, school; that triggers a departure from blogging. Some leave the site altogether and others stay on the site but just don't blog anymore. I think you did hit on one thing that keeps people here (or keeps them returning). There are connections that people form with each other here with the tacit understanding that while they might share all sorts of intimacies they will never meet most of the people they share them with. I suspect that one of the reasons people hang on is the knowledge that most of the connections we make here are lost when one of us goes. I mean think about it, you blog about how annoying the site is, why do you stay?

No place is perfect and Blogland has it's faults. But, it is entirely possible that some things that I don't like could be very attractive to other people. I like blogging here because of small number of bloggers that I respect and enjoy. Some of them I follow and some I don't. But I like them nonetheless. There are some bloggers I would love to meet, have a glass of wine and talk for hours. Unfortunately, that pesky thing you mentioned - distance - denied me that pleasure. I'm not up to speed on Blogland past or current drama, catfights are not my forte and allure of gossip escapes me. I like my ignorance and plan to enjoy few people in Blogland that I like as individuals and as bloggers. The A/L as funny as it can be sometimes is fairly shit atm for various reasons. My blog is what it is, some like some don't, some like to troll for the sake of it. I don't like it but leave stupid comments up to show what a dickbrain they are. I haven't a need to meet anyone here, happy to just be amongst thinking people Stick around the fun's just around the corner

I am newer to blogging and i have to agree with the negative comments in some posts, I try to only follow certain ones who I find interesting. I agree that some of the people I would enjoy meeting are far away as well. That or they are in the US and I can't cross the border Have to work on getting my passport.
