Like, Do You Like To Like? On Lala’s post [post 3899305] I mentioned that I had asked SiteSupport at Site Problems, Bug reports, Customer Feedback and Suggestions October 2016 about the new feature where you can use a button on the upper right corner of a post to "Like" and/or "Comment" on a post. My question and their reply are as follows. I asked: “A question regarding the addition of a "Like" button and a "Comment" button to all of the blog posts. What is the reason they were added? Are there benefits to the blogger or the member who "Likes" and/or "Comments"? Thank you.” Their reply: redrock, Thanks for the post. While I can't say definitively why the decision was made, your technical team is not directly involved in the "why's" of new features, I will venture to guess it is something that was requested by members. The vast majority of users will be used to sites like facebook/twitter/insta where they can receive this sort of feedback for postings. If this is something they are accustomed to throughout their online experiences, it would be normal for them to expect it here. Thanks for your contributions to the community! Antonio FWIW, I’ve been ignoring it since I can "Like" and/or "Comment" on a post as I(we) have been for however long the blogs have been here. Just because FarceBook and Twiddle do something doesn’t mean it is useful IMO. I have yet to figure out why have a "Comment" button when there is a place to reply/comment to the posts. BTW, you can "Like" and/or "Comment" on the SiteSupport blog. On a scale of 1 to 5 on the Yawn Scale I give this feature > Sooo . . . now that you know this are you more likely or less likely to like? Have you liked yet? Are you going to like? Do you like to like? When you liked did you use lube or lotion . . . liberally? Is liking a luxury? Did you have any luck liking? or . . . Do you loathe liking? Could you like liking any less? Do you like when you’re loaded? Will you like liberally or less? What do you liken it to? Is there a likeness to something else? Do you liken liking to licking? If you loathe licking would you liken it to liking? Were you lucky enough to be licked while liking? Do you liken licking to getting . . . lucky? or . . . laid? Will you let liking languish? probably another way figured out by someone, to make there blog , higher up in the world of blogville, that might seem skeptical for me to say but, yes, by all means, lets, just show how much someone is better than someone else.. other wise.. I don't think it's functional yet but in a way I do like it. Sometimes I read post and like it but don't really have anything clever to comment..so in that case I could let the author know I liked it. When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

If it's just a shortcut to the enclosure for comments and used solely for that purpose.It would tell me that people don't have a care in the world about what others might have to say on the same blog but run the very real risk of saying the same thing as someone else.Which would further explain the complacency that social media has created in so many people.
