The Sad Exodus Continues Within the last few days I have been made aware of 2 more very interesting, funny and intelligent bloggers who intend to leave the site. Both have been blogging for at least as long as I have been and we have interacted for as long as I can recall. Both will be significant and unpleasant losses to this space. I don’t know how much attention they want brought to this but one has already mentioned it on her blog – Joiseygirl. The other may get mad at me as she was not going to announce it – BiggLala. We have seen way too many very good bloggers leave over the last year, some, if not all, for personal reasons, which is understandable. However, one has told me, and we all seem to be aware of this on some level – the lack of diversity has made this place a lot less interesting. The lack of diversity comes from a lack of interesting, funny, unique, different points of view, experiences, and knowledge. These bloggers also respond to the comments left to them. To me these are the qualities that make for good posts by good bloggers. One question is – why have we lost diversity? Petty jealousies, judgments, are a significant factor in this place losing its diversity. I don’t wish to cover that here and now. I only wish they weren’t leaving. I can only handle *so* much nudity a day, and then I'm done. . So I go to a few like that that I like a day , and sometimes one new one... and then look for other things. You do become immune to all that eventually.  But if you look around, there IS other stuff to read.   I do read others sometimes but I'm not finding much good writing.  When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

It's a great shame bloggers leave. I think joisygirl was increasingly disappointed with the quality of cock on this site!  Diversity makes this site, but sometimes the necessary respect to diversity isn't always shown.  Far as diversity goes I agree with you.  When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. Disaster............... The pic's, the dreaded porn pics, no doubt dumb down the blogs generally, but as you say, there has to be a place for that kind of thing. For me, the biggest issue is the over-bearing nature of the cliques. That was the biggest reason for my relative inactivity earlier this year. I hope you do. I believe the damage done to the blogs still isn't over. I believe the old troll is the one that was fucking with you with THAT fake profile. The ebb and flow of these blogs over the years have been not good for the most part as good to decent bloggers have come and gone over the years and the ones whom you remember from way back in the day are long since gone so you attach yourself to the familiar ones as a way of relating to the past while trying to be relevant in the present and future? Sometimes people just move on...life goes through changes. Also, those of us who have been blogging a long time run out of topics. I seldom read someone else's blog these days who isn't touching on something I have already blogged about. I feel I've become redundant and wonder does anyone really want to read me opine about the same subjects again...and again? In regard to what you said about your posts. So, while your posts may be redundant to you they would be new to someone else - including me. So I would say (in my best Martha Stewart voice) it would be a good thing . . . to perhaps go back to some of your old posts and see if you feel or see things the same way now or if you would reword it. Hopefully they take some time off and come back soon as they are ready. I left blogland a few years back because of the petty drama and jealousy of a few blogger. Hopefully we see them back again.. Sometimes people just move on...life goes through changes. Also, those of us who have been blogging a long time run out of topics. I seldom read someone else's blog these days who isn't touching on something I have already blogged about. I feel I've become redundant and wonder does anyone really want to read me opine about the same subjects again...and again?

It's very sad to see good bloggers leaving. I like blogs that give me an insight into the mind of the writer and there's not much of that in many of the blogs these days. Too much along the line of sexy photos and not enough meaty discussion. I know this is a sex site but just how many times can you comment "nice photo" before you say you've had enough!
