local groups

in my area, they suck. rarely meet if ever. what gives? having a group just so you can say you started one doesn't work. you get no fame and no glory from where i sit.

the purpose SHOULD be to meet people of like minds. if not then what's the point?

 When I was in NOLA I tried creating a few groups, most didnt fly, but a few did. Nice to say, when I was there, I didnt find the need for groups to find funn much, it was usually easy to find for me. I moved there 6 months after KAT, and the 1st 6 months after I arrived, not knowing ANYONE, I attended a few dances, and social gatherings open to anyone, at that time In Slidell in fact, and several I met at these became longtime contacts for much more than dancing. I guess what I am saying is, have patience, because what comes fast & easy often isnt worth what you think, and the slow & methidical approach will bring you the contacts and funn you desire.

 Sadly groups here have gone quiet as well. Be nice if they were more active.
