How To Handle Rejection -- Exhibit A

Now, as I mentioned in my last post, most dudes have zero ability to deal with rejection in a way that is neither abusive or draining. I'm going to show you a perfect illustration of a guy who does it 100% right. Now, I didn't owe him anything at any point, but I CHOSE to respond. Maybe you can figure out why.

Btw...he DID attach multiple pictures to his profile, as well, so among other very positive things, he demonstrated a clear ability to follow directions.

That's fantastic; and I will say strictly for myself, if someone responds, they deserve the utmost respect for it. Since the man:woman ratio is staggering, to receive any response from a woman, in my experience, is rare and very appreciated, regardless of whether it's positive or negative. I can't imagine how overwhelming it is to field a woman's inbox. (that's not a pun... it could be?)

For someone to agree to get into a friendship (or more) is completely subjective - and when someone says "no thanks", they're saying they are personally not interested, but the reaction by people is sometimes analogous to being told "NOBODY is interested". it's all subjective and it's all feel based. I get it, and i appreciate it, and i'm thrilled to see any respectful reply.

I'm happy that it's not a bunch of angry dicks here, and there's proof!

thanks for sharing.

This was a nice post, but I'm ashamed that is was necessary. Of the entire internet, one would think that LesbianPersonals would be the place where men would benefit the most from good netiquette.

We can be pretty stupid sometimes. Sigh.

Thanks for sharing. You have a new reader.

Yeah, I completely agree.
People make rejection mean more than it is.
Whenever I get rejected, I thank them for their time and then move on to the next.
The most successful people don't let rejection stop them.
Thanks.

How sad that people feel the need to thank someone for being polite, when it should be the norm.

Check out my profile or and become a "watcher" of my blog FMAOPLS,to learn more about me, and for intelligent, lively, smartassy and fun discussion, with a little irreverence thrown in. "Like" or comment on my photos, and I promise I'll add more. Thanks.

Just as treating women like people instead of a less respected class of people should be the norm...
