I don't get many opportunities to get on here, but I try to get the most from my infrequent visits. I have long since given up any chance of meeting people in real life, between schedules, distance, and other factors. But I do enjoy actually connecting with other like minded people, especially the women, and chatting. Unfortunately, even that has become rarer. Not sure why that would be, especially since we are supposedly all on here for the same reasons.
Being a "free member" does limit communication somewhat, but it still can be done. Ahh well, it does still add some excitement to an otherwise mundane life, and on the occasions that I do meet women that will chat, I have thoroughly enjoyed their company. And who knows, maybe there will be the rare meeting, possibly even a physical connection, so I guess I'll keep playing the game. It sure beats what is on TV most of he time, these days!

Meeting new people is always a little scary. One of the nice things about modern communitations is that we can chat with people electronically, before we ever meet them. That is one of the reasons that sites like this exist. It certainly relieves a lot of tension when you can learn things about each other before you meet. But in order for that to happen, people that participate on these sites have to be willing to communicate, to use the sites as they are intended.
I actually got to meet a woman that I have known for years, today. We have e-mailed and IM'd all this time but had never met. I wish we had sooner because she is a great person. And the meeting was so easy because we already knew so much about each other. Modern communications systems are great ways to meet.
So, why do people get on these sites and not want to communicate? Even if it is just to say, "not interested"? Any thoughts out there?
