Yes, we sent out an email to everyone who's profile and photos have been added to the other site. This was sent to their external email. Here's what our legal-ese has say about this, and about your photos/videos/content on this site. Section H from the 5th point of the TOU on the site. H) Your profile (and its contents) may be searchable by, and you may be able to search for the profiles (and their contents) of, members registered to other Friendfinder Network operated and "powered by" websites, e.g. co-branded, privately labeled, etc. This feature may allow you to interact with additional members of Friendfinder Network websites. Also section C from the same 5th point. By posting content to any public area of LesbianPersonals, you automatically grant, and you represent and warrant that you have the right to grant, to Various, Inc. and its members, an irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, fully-paid, worldwide license to use, copy, perform, display, and distribute such information, rights of publicity, and content and to prepare derivative works of, or incorporate into other works and other media, such information and content, and to grant and authorize sublicenses of the foregoing. For privacy terms, please refer to our Privacy Policy. I know people have their own disclaimers on their pictures. I have no idea how that works in the legal way, but I'm assuming people are trying to stop others from stealing their images and posting on the interwebs. Below are account settings options that we members have Ryan, and basically Mr. Dirty Lawyer on big retainer is saying that these member settings mean absolutely nothing if Penthouse wants to take our profiles and pics and use them in anyway that they want for whatever they want whenever they want. That is Bullshit Bro...for that is misrepresentation, misleading advertisement, falsified services rendered upon agreement,and etc... *Account Setting Options* Member Profile Visibility You have the option to make your profile accessible by Guests and Search Engines. Yes, I would like to have my profile accessible by Guests and Search Engines. No, I do not want my profile accessible by Guests and Search Engines. (Note that turning off your profile accessibility to Search Engines will not immediately clear their cache of your profile.) Photo in Member Newsletter Preference By default, all members agree as part of their Terms of Use agreement to allow their photos to be used in our member newsletter. You can increase your chances of getting picked for the newsletter by getting ConfirmID, as confirmed members are picked first. If you do not wish to have your photo featured in the member newsletter, indicate your preference below. Yes, show my photo in the member newsletter No, do not show my photo in the member newsletter Allow my profile to be used in TV or Print promos

I'm no lawyer, but the terms of service I quoted before address your information with Co-Brands. This includes your images. The guests and search engines setting isn't overridden by this. This is to protect your privacy outside of LesbianPersonals. None of us who understand it get pissed off by the Co-brands other than being listed on a lesbian or senior site when we aren't one and silly stuff like that. I have found my blog posts on one of your affiliate sites last night. Granted, when I left the info here and also on sitesupport, they did contact the affiliate and verified they were copying many blog posts of mine, with one of my profile photos and many other members here. A company NOT owned by Various. They did suspend them, but the info is still there if you hit the links in the search engine. How is that protecting me? Why wait until a member happens upon these people doing it? Shouldn't they be checked regularly? We aren't talking about some random person snitching our blogs AND our photos, but an affiliate of this site. See page 2 Customers Questions and Answers June 2009 for the handling of this issue by SiteSupport. I have ALWAYS declined to participate in search engines and I have ALWAYS kept my blog closed to anyone not a member of this site and it's co-brands. I googled and I'm all over the place! Where's my privacy? For the record, this is the ONLY place I use this handle and there is another Nascar Fox that can be found, but her information and links are related to the sport and that I can deal with. That's not me. Oy vie!!!! I've got such a freaking headache now! Quoting Ryan: We wanted to try out some new functionality we've built, but we didn't want to spring it on you, on here before we get it right. That's part of GetitOn, and the part I really care about. It is it's own site though and it has a focus on hooking up. There aren't any social features like blogging and groups on there so it's a bit more straight forward in it's intention. We hope it will take off. Some do, some don't. I like it, but there isn't a Blog for me to communicate with. Straight forward? They use these terms "dating, romance, friendship," and it's a hook up site? Come on!!! There's going to be the same old crap for anyone that doesn't already have a clue! Why not tell it like it is. It's a place where folks who's primary goal is to hook up for sex can meet other like minded people. The End! If I wasn't already aware what this site was meant for, I'd be mislead into thinking it was like E harmony or something. Ok, I admit, I'm on edge today so in all fairness, I'm going to walk away from this thread for the time being. Ryan, I do realize that you may not have much if any say in the marketing practices, but this is how I view it.

I googled my handle and found my profile on TWENTY SEVEN other sites I knew nothing about. I understand that by my signing up here, you have the right to post my profile on affiliated sites. But I should receive a list of ALL sites my profile has been posted on. It is bullcrap that an email was sent out about GetitOn to all the members because *I* never got one. And I certainly knew nothing of all the others before either. I should also have the right to go in and turn off my profile on these related sites. I tried doing this but my login information was rejected. I find it offensive to be affiliated with sites I feel strongly opposed to, like Marrieddaterclub.net. I would like to know how I may log in to remove myself. I do not want my profile and FACE PIC plastered all over the internet in connection with sex sites. I chose to do it for LesbianPersonals. I should have the right to turn the rest off if I choose to. I am NOT happy! Freedom Live. Laugh. Love.

Ryan -- But we ARE on Seniorsizzle. That's what I mean -- all of those sites are where we can log in using the same user name and password as we have here and everything is the same with the same members -- our profiles, Blogs, etc. Seniorsizzle should also be a separate site, IMO. I checked out most of those sites by logging in with "Laila6868" and my password here.

I can give you the LONG list of places that my ElyriaWolf appears OTHER than LesbianPersonals... NONE of them do I WANT my profile on... including GetitOn! I haven't LOOKED to see if my ALT profile is on half a million sites but let me tell ya THIS one certainly IS on sites that I NEVER signed up for... including "HIGH TIMES" FFS! Not to mention the Modesto Bee... Your Hot Stories... Lesbian Personals... Passion... Loveclear... Come on guys... this is ridiculous... and ALL of them are links that have LesbianPersonals referral links in them. Flipping over to my Gold Profile... Couplepleaser7... Yes, that's right. If you delete your profile on LesbianPersonals, it will delete it on Passion. But remember, those are co-brands, the same site with a different front page and URL. Our sister sites don't have your information and affiliates are people who advertise our site. Affiliates don't have your information either.

Affiliates may not have our information, but they are using our handles, blog material and photos on their websites. A huge no no!! They need to be monitored better. By your company. It shouldn't be left up to us to accidentally discover they are doing this and then reporting to you. Is a business transaction between Various and the affiliate. Advertising for this site doesn't give them the right to do this.  The Lady Has Spoken words of truth!!! I swear I didn't doctor that up at all. You have a free account, you should check out the cams over on GetitOn and see for yourself. There's an entirely different backend driving it. I should make another post about cams. My camera is new and I have a killer connection from work. When I see my cam from another account, it's pretty crisp. There are a variety of factors that add to choppiness beyond the LesbianPersonals technology. The amount of video that passes through here every hour is pretty insane. We're working on the bones to make it faster. The reason I posted that...is because I do and HAVE tried the cams...dude...you are almost on top of your server...of course it's going to be "crisp and clear" to you...even if you log in via "a remote account"...and all the usual blah blah about clearing "cache and cookies" well I ran a little test...seeing as how I can selectively delete cookies in my browser...I ran though them and what did I find? Cookies for ALL of the co-branded/sister/shirt tail relative sites! I cleared them all...log back in here and what do I find...you guessed it...they were ALL back! Simply by logging in here! Still gettind admin screens on all windows regardless of C&C and manual log on...Sheesh...

Think of it this way: It is like a big building with a bunch of different entrances (doors). We may go in different doors, but we are all in the same building. If your profile is deleted from lesbianpersonals, seniorsizzle, etc., your profile will also be deleted from here -- A F F, Passion, Hotmatch, xmatch, whatever site you're on -- they are all the same site. I have personally checked every single one of them, and I can log in with my same username and password as I do here, my profile is the same, my Blog, the members, my email -- all the same! The only thing I can think of off-hand is that A F F needs to disengage those site names as being the same site and make them sister sites. I can understand there being the same site if they are very similar -- such as A F F, Hotmatch, xmatch, etc. BUT when they are VERY different such as lesbianpersonals and seniorsizzle, etc., they should be sister sites. Before this I worked at a mobile company so I know texts inside and out. Ryan, I had a thought. I don't know if it is this or not. Check out the profile preferences in the My Account. Under this there is a an SMS/Phone Notifications feature. Without asking more information as to what actually took place, whether or not this feature was involved on her end or his is difficult to say. Possibly one or both of the members has this feature activated and it is what caused the text.

Silver, you and the site can't stop someone from selecting a handle name the same as yours on a different site. Now if they were trying to appear to be you, like using your pics or copying your blog posts, that's a different story. Just as there is another NascarFox out there on the Nascar sites. It's not me and I have no say in this other person using it. I don't have the right to deny someone else from using it on another site.
