Thank you Big Easy
Thank you Big Easy My first time in New Orelans and I had a great time. Of course, I was here on business. Could have been much more fun if I had more time. We'll not get into work. I made my way to the French Quarter the first night I was here. It began with disappointment as Nola's was closed for renovation. In fact, most of Bourbon Street is closed for renovation. Not the stores, the actual street. Getting ready for a good New Years and football season. At least, that's my guess. The first thing I did was get a Hurricane. Yup, the tourist thing to do. Carry around a 32 ounce drink. It was good. The vendor we went to also made it strong. I like that! There were some beautiful women along the street also. Great clubs and bars to peak into and people watch. Scantily clad trying to pull you into their club. Sorry dear. For dinner, I stopped at Red Fish Grill had Alligator Boudin Balls and Alligator Gumbo. Both I highly recommend. Being a food person, it's always fun to try things I haven't had before. This morning I woke up and took a walk to Cafe Du Monde. Everyone I talk to says that you have to go and get their coffee. So I did. There was a location about a 12 minute walk from my hotel. I got an order of beignets, a large American & a can of French Roast. OK, If you come to New Orleans, you need to go. As I pack my bag and look at my next city, Norfolk, VA, I can't wait to come back. I really want to spend more time here. Just walk around the city and eat lots of great food. If your in Norfolk next week and would like to go for a drink or show me around, let me know. I'm there Sunday night until Friday morning. Travel safe everyone! Trudeau.Phil Here daily looking for morning playmates. I'll have my AIM on, let's chat or more. |
