Not What I Needed A Poem I was a little needy I was a little naughty But not in the way You are thinking. It was just about Some emotional issues. It was not anything sexual. I just told someone things To see if he was open minded And not a superficial asshole. It was kind of a test But I was being honest. It was not for just Anyone's consumption But for someone who had Shared stuff with me On a few occasions. Have you ever done Something similar I am not sure if it is For shock value in particular But more so to figure out How they would handle Deep thought? We all want to be validated We all want to be accepted. We all want to feel that We matter to someone That we are not just A piece of meat. And so I admitted some things To see what he would say. He passed in a few areas. He professed a decent Amount of understanding And I will give him this He has his boundaries And expectations set. He knows what he wants. I might have been In that category But I took myself out With one of his responses. Good thing or I would have Ended up where I had started Wanting something That he did not Have available. yup yes forsure seems everyone has danced to that song bought that t-shirt some sit back and reflect others put a bandaid over a cut that has not yet formed there is a world of difference between insanity and stupidity
