Making Tracks... (The Thanksgiving Drive)
Tomorrow morning at about 4am I'll be leaving the Jersey Shore...
Driving South on Rt 95 (with a zillion other folks).

Spending Thanksgiving with family in Arlington, VA.

The airports and roads will be jammed today.

Will you be staying home or traveling?

I so love this time of the year...
Being with family... But also thinking about close friends or family that I lost over the past couple of years

Enjoy your day...

Be careful out there on the roads. 95 up north is one of the worst.
Hope you have a great time visiting family and friends.
I will be spending time with my work family.

 that's one thing I don't miss from my time being in the military is the drive home for thanksgiving. it was a 12-15 hr drive from Camp Lejeune to Ohio and everyone was on the road. now that I'm out everyone lives within a hour of me makes things soo nice!!

 I drove from Charleston SC to Nashville TN yesterday. Super foggy in the Smokey Mountain area , other wise clear sailing.

I remember the days of driving the turnpike from Elizabeth to Cherry Hill. That was bad but going all the way to VA could be a 2 day trip.

I grew up in Edison, NJ and moved to Reston, VA back in '84.

My 1984 Thanksgiving going back up to NJ took me a 12 hour drive. This should've been a 4 hour drive.
