 I got into teaching fresh out of school and thought for awhile that was a career choice. Obviously that didn't work out and I left and have never considered any of my jobs careers. They were all just jobs, regardless of how much or deeply I cared for them. Strange.
Yes, I've quit a job suddenly, and yes too, I've been fired

 I was let go from my first job. Left my second one when I relocated. Found my third job shortly after that and have been there for the past 45 years.

 I'm a musician, so I take my jobs very seriously. If I don't feel my music, I can't relay it to my audience, so I can get pretty deep.
