gay men and connecting

so its been my experience in this modern "hook up" culture that whenever there is a real "connection" or the chemistry is right with a guy that they tend to run away and never want to see me again, even though the vibe was right when we met.
im sure that the nature of the meeting being a hook up has something to do with it but come on....are gay men that far removed that all they can get off nowadays is NSA hookups? how sad...

 Some gay men are stuck in the NSA world but not all and certainly not the majority. Meeting someone that you have chemistry with, for me, is the best.
Having a healthy, hot, trusting and respectful relationship is over the top.

I think too many men, gay or str8, tend to keep searching for greener grass and do not put much effort into developing a relationship. In my book, relationships take work but are well worth the effort with the right guy.
