now that i am calmed down.

now that i am calmed down enough to post this rant. i would have posted this yesterday but due to my emotions i would have written down names as well. so i posted s silly one that made me smile over the memory instead.

back on subject.

yesterday i was helping a different department. in which i helped them before several weeks ago. this time instead of helping make lids i was instructed to help put product on the line.

in which is simple enough to do. also helped me out due to the fact that my thumb is still hurting, has been for a few days now.

back on track...

the production of the product was going smoothly until the line broke down. then the product started to pile up because the kickers was NOT turned off. this happened several times through out the day. it is understandable WHY my husband is so upset now after the work day is through.

reason is this...

when the product piles up; sometimes, the product falls to the floor when it gets too much build up. that is when the supervisor comes out of the office to get on the employees. i understand that is the supervisor's job, to ensure a smooth run of production. but... when he gives different commands that contradicts the previous one he made before hand for the same type of break down. it gets too confusing to the people underneath him to know what to do when the type of the same break down occurs again.

communication

the line of communication in between this supervisor and his floor person(s) needs to be established better. Also this supervisor needs to do more walk through more often, checking on product quality and making sure that the line is running smoothly. instead of hanging back and assuming that the people are not stopping the line just because they wish for a break.

suggestion

i suggest for the one stopping button/knob be put where it would not be tripped by accident when someone brushes up against the line.

maintainers

needs to be a bit quicker, more officiant on fixing the line. down time takes too damn long.

sighs....
