Lord, what a day.

Friday August 10'th.

today started like any other, wake up, tale a leak, make coffee , morning news etc. then came time to leave for work. I had jumped in my truck, drove up to the road and no sooner than I hit pavement. the serpentine Belt broke.
Okay, well I can make it to work in this condition.. so I continue on to work, park my truck, and transfer my gear to the work truck. fair enough.
completed my work day & now return to my truck. it being a Payday, I drove the half mile distance to the Safari Park. However on the way to the park.. flat tire...
drivers side rear flat.. okay ..
so I pull it over & change the tire. easy enough I guess. but still an inconvenience.
so I get THAT done, and get into the park, get paid, and then drove 2 miles to get to my local Auto-parts store to purchase the replacement Serpentine belt.
\luckily they had one "in stock" So Feeling a little better about the situation, I toss the belt in the passenger seat & hop in the truck. Now the Battery is too low to start the engine.. ERF! luckily I plan for such disasters & carry a battery booster box in the truck. I get it started & motor home, now the trucks cooling system is HOT! okay, we're home, we'll let that dood cool down. okay after about 2 hours the truck is cool enough to inspect a few things. and yeah the truck battery, not having an alternator to keep it charged, died . So I have 2 other Batteries I keep charged cuz, it pays to be prepared.
it's been a hell of a day for a Friday.
