If you could travel back in time and change one single event in your life.. What would you change?
For me, it would have been marrying the Woman I fell in love with. If we had kept dating, instead of marrying, things would have worked out.

Have You Thanked A Soldier?

I have been a Soldier for many years, and hopefully have a few good years left in me. I have done numerous combat tours and have always returned home to a bunch of people thanking me for my service to our nation. I have always wondered a few things when this happens.
#1- Are you thanking the uniform, or the person wearing it?
#2- You thank me today, but would you recognize me tomorrow when the uniform comes off?
#3- Why are you thanking me for my service if you have no idea what I do? Do you know what you're thanking me for?
#4- Assuming you're thanking me for "Protecting Our Country" have you ever thanked a Police Officer for His/Her service? Have you ever gone out of your way to thank a Fire Fighter, Paramedic or Judge? I protect my country from a distance. These brave Men and Women protect our way of life here, up close and personal where it counts, but who thanks them?

I am recently divorced and often find myself wondering "What is worse"? The fact that I am angry and bitter at the one I have loved so much for so long, or the fact that I still love and adore the one that I am so angry and bitter at? I'm pretty sure I am not the only one on this site that has these contradictory feelings. What are your thoughts?

How many friends is too many?

How many people have added people to their friends list, and then never chatted with them? Never emailed them, or returned an email from them? What's the point of adding them as a friend if your not going to communicate at some point? That is what friends do right? When I add a friend, or send a friend request, it's because I actually want to talk to that person. Am I alone in that? Just curious.
