There has been May the 4th for quite sometime. I don't think the significance of that day to Star Wars fans was Disney or Lucas generated. Probably a organically created thing by Star Wars fans. Some one\group noticed May the 4th and May the Force sounded the same so it became a fan thing. Someone in Disney's Marketing Department realized they could capitalize on that with merchandise sales.
Didn't see this till this morning when I was checking my emails but it seems like Disney (for the Disney Story) is trying to create another Star Wars Day for Marketing. Now the wording really could work for any month but they are drawing a connection between Revenge of the Sith and the phrase Revenge of the Sixth. Now I did look up the movie and it came out in May of 2005 so I am guessing it is at minimum a 20th anniversary thing but it could become an attempt to capitalize on this yearly to sell Revenge of the Sith merchandise.

That too. Maybe we should send some suggestions to Disney and they can create an adult toy division or maybe license to Mattel.
