Hello My Sweet Friend's,
How are you?
Today was sunny and bright here on the farm. The grass is yellowy brown. The critters call to me every time I go outside. They want treats.
My ancient farm cat will come to the house door and stare inside until I walk by. Then she puts her paws on the door. This is my signal to grab some kitty treats or wet food and trot outside to spoil her. I'm not allowed to be busy.
The old hairball has me trained!!! LOL
For the record, this cat is at least 15 yrs old and greatly loved. I would bring her inside but she still refuses. She has multiple soft, warm beds in the shop building. She came to me as a feral cat from a shelter. She has been an incredible rodent hunter all these years and deserves everything good in life.
So I am ok being used by this kitty cat.
Do you have a soft spot for someone special?

Your cat has similar markings to a seventeen year old tom cat I know. Cats and dogs are great therapists and their fees are a lot less than the professionals!

She may be the most valuable asset here. She works 24/7 - never asking for much.

I've never been a cat person, but sure miss the dogs. When the last one had to be put down 5 years ago, decided not to replace her to make it easier to travel. For various reasons that has not happened to any large degree.
I just drag my dog wherever I am going. She gets in the truck, flops down on the seat and I don't hear a peep until we stop, LOL.
You need to plan more trips and just go. Me too. Stop letting people hold us back.

Your old girl sounds like a character—and clearly knows how to run the place 😊. I’ve always been a dog person myself, and I still miss Molly every day, even after 3½ years. The ones closest to me know they’re carried in my heart.
I am definitely a dog person. In the country, a killing cat is invaluable! They keep the rodents out of my house and barns.
It's funny to me - the very best farm cats have all been feral mothers. They know how to hunt and dispatch rodents. They actually seem to enjoy it.
This particular cat will pillage their nests and once laid out more than a dozen for us to feast on. I think it hurt her feelings when we declined. LOL

What a great cat you have there, I sure miss mine. We can't have any pets where we live first they said we could have a support pet and now they changed their minds but everyone around us has pets.
I am glad you have her there and she takes care of the rodents there and I hope she's with you for many more happy years to come. She has beautiful green eyes.

Cut cat.. I think most animals train us....we always had dogs...not sunny here we got about 7 inches of snow will be busy for a couple of hours blowing...hugs
