How are you?
I have decided it is too hot to sleep. I need to move somewhere cooler. Or wait until September. I have a sad feeling I will be waiting ....
Brilliant idea to go to a motel, turn the AC all the way down, to catch up on sleep. But wait!?! If I am willing to drop a hundred plus for one night at a motel, why not just turn down the house AC and put the money to the electric bill? You see how my brain is already funkified from the heat. Ugh.
Do they make waterbeds anymore? If memory serves they were supposedly very cold and you had to keep the heater turned on year round. True? Of course, I need a supportive water bed, not sure if that exists .....
Friends in Alaska were wearing jackets in the pics they posted .....
I need that million dollars. I want somewhere to stay during the hot summers. Alaska, Greenland. Iceland. Northern coast of somewhere. I bet that will take the whole million.
It's a good thing us poor people know how to sweat and survive.

Over here, we have winter for ten and a half months of the year. This is my summer rental property. No need for A/C, sleeps four, and you can stay as long as you like... rent-free.💕

I've been using a water cooling mattress pad. It's been pretty effective.
We keep our house at 68...set it and forget it. The waterbed....brings back memories....they are awesome to play in! I had a gf that had one....fond memories...but.....for sleeping for us old people..,they suck!
Heat and air conditioning seem to struggle to reach the second floor of my house where the bedrooms are. I have considered putting a window AC unit in my bedroom. It seems like it would be more energy efficient to cool that one room, than to have to put the thermostat at 72 in order to achieve 75 in my bedroom...
If you have a fan, put a bowl with ice in front of it. It significantly cools the air. I'm not sure how long the ice lasts. Once the air is cooled though, it might stay cool. Worth trying.

When I lived in Arizona, I had an oscillating fan blow up and down my body all night.
My college roommates and I didn't want to turn on the AC because of the bill.

We sleep with ceiling fans and floor fans in each bedroom. The AC is on but the men all want to feel moving air on their bodies, hehehe.

It is too hot to sleep as I have the same issue as you, but turning the A/C down would sky rocket the bill here and it's quite unaffordable to so. I hope things start to cool down there for you all. And your able to finally get some well deserved sleep and rest.

They say altering the AC temp just a couple of degrees can radically change a bill. It scares me to even think about it.

I vote for finding a cheap hotel. Good chance it would turn into some hot sex though, but at least you wouldn't mind the situation.

I don't have aircon, which isn't common in British homes. And I've never slept on a water bed.

Staying cool these days is a challenge we Keep our A/C at 72 seems comfortable than close the door in the bedroom with the fan sleeping is around 66 even whit this heat I still will give a long hug mmmm

I personally would rather have the heat than the cold in the winter. Just get wet all over and drink plenty of water. Been close to 100 last few days.
Our winters are mild minus a few weeks.
I can always put on more clothes. I can only get so naked
