Sorry you had issues with that armadillo and I would not try to pick it up at all. Sounds like you have a lot of work to do in your flower beds. I hope it cools down so that you can get it done and not have to work out in this heat.
My weekend was busy still packing, tossing stuff away and what not. Too hot to really do anything here either.
I hope your Monday continues to be a marvelous start to your new week. ?
I hope you get to wrap up this packing and moving soon. Though I prefer packing over unpacking.
Hugs!!!
When I was out watering the other day and a baby bunny went scurrying away. I thought that was strange, to see a baby this time of the year. Later that day, when cutting the grass, there it was again, and again later in a different spot. The third time I realized it was a field mouse, not a baby bunny.
I don't know for sure, but I would use a shovel to handle it.
That's a big mouse if he is masquerading as a bunny! LOL
Hugs!!
@PonyGirl1965 A BABY bunny. Haven't seen him lately though. Did see a mature bunny - right in the garden! 😡
As you know, I was in hospital most of the weekend. But I'm out now.
I'm ready to read more of your journey.
Hugs!!
Was a good weekend. Rode 240 miles on bike Saturday and visited Wheels through Time Motorcycle museum in Maggie Valley North Caroline. Great friends along for the ride. Church and and picked 6 and half bushel of beans Sunday. We don't have armadillos in this region but have groundhogs which are terrible pests. Wishing you a wonderful week alone....Hugs
That is a lot of beans!! I love motorcycle museums. And church.
Hugs!!
Hahaha that little Rascal! We don't have them here where I live so I have never had a personal experience with them myself. I have seen from videos and pictures of the aftermath of their tunneling. Those little sons of bitches can move some serious earth, lol. It was smart to move him with a shovel, Armadillos are known vectors for leprosy.
It appeared to be tunneling under my sidewalk!! Crazy critter!!!
Hugs!!
@PonyGirl1965 Damn, that's crazy! I think armadillos have the pug effect going for them. They are ugly enough, that they are kinda cute with those little hog noses.
You need armadillo repellent for your flower beds. Strong smells keep them away so plant mint or sprinkle moth balls in the flower beds.
I had a very good weekend. Armadillo-free plus I actually needed a sweater this evening.
I was pondering sprinkling cayenne pepper all along the flower bed.
Yeah for a sweater!!!
Hugs!!
And hello sweetheart to you, too. I am very good today, and posting in a manic fashion. I must remember to take my depakote this week. The weekend was wonderful by my standards. I got to go outside and walk around again as the weather cooled. Hugs!
Cooler weather will be such a blessing!!
Hugs!!
I could come and help fix it
