A dead squirrel huh, ick is right and it's always something on the farm. I hope you don't have to do that again. And yes he should do the dishes since you made dinner. I do clean up more than cook now myself.
I hope you both enjoy your Thursday. ? Hugs

He always made the kids do the dishes. It's fair to share chores.
Hugs!!
Hummm, first statement about finding a dead wild animal. Second statement about starting a pot of something known to have just about anything in it. I'm not sure I want to eat at your house!
The heat, and they dry, are both becoming record setting around here now. I'm ready for it to end - but there is no end in sight.
You are safe sweetheart. I stick with eating farm animals
Hugs!!
This heat is a killer no pun intended.. I didn't think squirrels knew how to swim..poor little critter..
Squirrels are survivors. I have seen one dog paddle.
I didn't think armadillos could swim and I was wrong, LOL.
Hugs!!
The squirrel's death could turn into a murder mystery!
I wonder which detective will take on the task
Hugs!!
Life on your farm never gives you a dull moment. From jambalaya to mystery squirrel duty, you handled it all like a champ. The heat and drought have everything acting strange this year. Hope you get a break indoors while Cowboy tackles those dishes. Stay cool out there, Pony.
I am so eager for autumn rains and the world returning to a new normal.
Hugs!!
It crazy sometimes. I just lost a cow with no clue cause of death.
I am so sorry!! When a cow dies with no explanation, I tend to blame it on plastic bags or balloons that drifted into their field. I am shocked at how often I pick debris out of fields. People are careless.
Hugs!!
I'd rather take care of a drowned squirrel than one that's been barfed up by the dog
Oh gross!!! That would be worse!!!! You have my sympathies!!
Hugs!!!
Hello Pony Luv, oh I have had a similar situation. When I was back in the house in VA, mowing the side yard I uncovered a very prone and dead squirrel. Imagine my surprise as it came out the backend of my push mower. A flat shovel and a quick flick sent the poor little one into the street gutter to be picked up by the street cleaner.
Luckily I have t seen any squirrels here in Sin City, rats however are a different story.
Enjoy your day Luv.
I call squirrels tree rats, LOL
Hugs!!
I bet the squirrel was getting a drink and fell in and drowned. I had that happen a couple times here.
Squirrels are not regulars here. We haven't taken measures to protect them. Usually the dogs keep them away from the house, trees and stock tanks.
Hugs!!
Good to hear from you!
