A very good friend of mine from here sent this to me and I thought it was well worth sharing with others. I sent it to some friends and then some one told me to post it here as well.

Guess our national leaders didn't expect this, hmm?

On Thursday, May 8, 2008, Darrell Scott, the father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High School shootings in Littleton , Colorado , was invited to address the House Judiciary Committee's subcommittee.

What he said to our national leaders during this special session of Congress was painfully truthful.

They were not prepared for what he was to say, nor was it received well. It needs to be heard by every parent, every teacher, every politician, every sociologist, every psychologist, and every so-called expert!

These courageous words spoken by Darrell Scott are powerful, penetrating, and deeply personal. There is no doubt that God sent this man as a voice crying in the wilderness. The following is a portion of the transcript:

' Since the dawn of creation there has been both good & evil in the hearts of men and women. We all contain the seeds of kindness or the seeds of violence. The death of my wonderful , Rachel Joy Scott, and the deaths of that heroic teacher, and the other eleven who died must not be in vain. Their blood cries out for answers. !
'The first recorded act of violence was when Cain slew his brother Abel out in the field. The villain was not the club he used. Neither was it the N CA , the National Club Association. The true killer was Cain, and the reason for the murder could only be found in Cain's heart.
'In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA. I am not a member of the NRA. I am not a hunter. I do not even own a gun. I am not here to represent or defend the NRA because I don't believe that they are responsible for my 's death. Therefore I do not believe that they need to be defended. If I believed they had anything to do with Rachel's murder I would be their strongest opponent.
I am here today to declare that Columbine was not just a tragedy, it was a spiritual event that should be forcing us to look at where the real blame lies! Much of the blame lies here in this room. Much of the blame lies behind the pointing fingers of the accusers themselves. I wrote a poem just four nights ago that expresses my feelings best.

Your laws ignore our deepest needs,
Your words are empty air.
You've stripped away our heritage,
You've outlawed simple prayer.
Now gunshots fill our classrooms,
And precious die.
You seek for answers everywhere,
And ask the question 'Why?'
You regulate restrictive laws,
Through legislative creed.
And yet you fail to understand,
That God is what we need!

'Men and women are three-part beings. We all consist of body, mind, and spirit. When we refuse to acknowledge a third part of our make-up, we create a void that allows evil, prejudice, and hatred to rush in and wreak havoc. Spiritual presences were present within our educational systems for most of our nation's history. Many of our major colleges began as theological seminaries. This is a historical fact. What has happened to us as a nation? We have refused to honor God, and in so doing, we open the doors to hatred and violence. And, when something as terrible as Columbine's tragedy occurs, politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the NRA. They immediately seek to pass more restrictive laws that contribute to erode away our personal and private liberti es. We do not need more restrictive laws. Eric and Dylan would not have been stopped by metal detectors. No amount of gun laws can stop someone who spends months planning this type of massacre. The real villain lie s within our own hearts.
'As my Craig lay under that table in the school library and saw his two friends murdered before his very eyes, he did not hesitate to pray in school. I defy any law or politician to deny him that right! I challenge every young person in America , and around the world, to realize that on April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School , prayer was brought back to our schools. Do not let the many prayers offered by those students be in vain. Dare to move into the new millennium with a sacred disregard for legislation that violates your God-given right to communicate with Him. To those of you who would point your finger at the NRA, I give to you a sincere challenge. Dare to examine your own heart before casting the first stone!

My 's death will not be in vain! The young people of this country will not allow that to happen!'

On Saturday, police broke up a disturbance between a couple arguing over which one was drunker. Both were arrested and taken to Overlake Hospital for treatment of injuries to their heads.

The police are charging them with disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace, but not assault.

They each injured themselves and not the other.

It seems, according to police and witnesses, that the couple were taking turns bashing their heads into the drywall walls and the wooden door of their apartment in order to prove they were so drunk that they couldn't feel the pain.

The "Environmental Engineering News" published some rather sobering information about punishment for drunk driving convictions in other countries.

In Australia, the names of drunk drivers are printed in newspapers under the caption, "He's drunk and in jail."

In Malaysia the driver is jailed and, if married, the spouse is jailed.

In the United Kingdom, Finland and Sweden there's an automatic jail term of one year.

In Turkey, drunk drivers are driven twenty miles out of town and forced to walk back ten miles.

In Bulgaria, a second drunk-driving conviction results in capital punishment.

In El Salvador, your first offense is your last -- execution by firing squad.

Hate me, love me or F***k you

Hate me, love me or F***k you. I could give two shits or a Rats ass what most of you think of me.

Let me start by saying some of the BS going on in here is just ridiculous. People are trying to defend themselves over accusations by others. Hell I have been doing it for the last few months.

It all started because some bitch went and ran her mouth to someone else and told that person that things were said about her at a party. That person went back and said I said it. What the motivation behind it is I have no idea, at this point the damage has been done and it can not be changed. Friendships have been lost and sides have been chosen. Well the people that were there when these things were said can verify who said it and who didn’t. I WAS NOT there; however, I did contact some of those people. I am not going to mention any names on this post but if you want to know call me. I contacted the people that were there when things were said and verified what happened. I did not get one persons side I got SEVERAL peoples side. As I have said many times there are always 3 sides to a story (his, hers & the truth somewhere in between). Ok let me add that on top of saying I said these things the person that went back also send part of an IM I had with her and it had something in there that was never to go back to that person it was private and not something I shared with the chartroom. I shared it with a friend or at least someone I thought was a friend. However this person did not know my reasons for that comment since I didn’t share them with her. It was really not her business it was a personal issue and I didn’t think she needed to know all the details. Anyway that person ASSUMED (key word) that I was just talking bad about her. Which was not the case, I had my reasons for saying what I did and to this day I stand behind them. Anyway that is what happened or how this all got started in a nut shell.

Now to the entire BS going on: It seems that from this people have started to take aim at others. It is sad it has come to this but I have seen so much shit that it sickens me over what people are saying. Some have had to try and defend themselves now just because they are friends with me. I guess people are guilty by association. Well I have never asked a friend to choose sides and I never will. It is not me. There are people I don’t get along with so I just don’t talk to them but some of my friends are great friends with the ones I don’t like and it doesn’t make them any less a friend of mine. What type of person would I be if I made a friend choose a friendship? I don’t think I would be a very good friend if I did that. Yet that is exactly what is happening here. I feel like I am in a TWILIGHT ZONE.

It is a shame that the people that started all of this seem to be the ones who have been able to just sit back and see the damage they have done and get excitement out of it. It is said and just goes to show the type of people they are. I am going to leave this saying and I hope some of you will re3alize what you have done and make amends to those you have trashed for no reason.

“before you judge someone walk a mile in their shoes, this way you are a mile ahead of them and you have their shows” Beside some of you may need that mile head start at this point.

I am not posting this for people to respond. I am psoting it because I am tired of all of it and rather than hit someone I figured I'd posit it.

NEVER ASK A SOUTHERN GRANDMOTHER

Hi There, Thought you may enjoy a little humor.
My friend Alex sent this to me and I laughed so hard that day reading this that I told her if she didn't post this I would. So here it is. Thank Alex for the laugh.

NEVER ASK A SOUTHERN GRANDMOTHER
Lawyers should never ask a Southern grandma a question if they
aren't prepared for the answer.
In a trial, a Southern small-town prosecuting attorney called his
first witness, a grand motherly, elderly woman to the stand. He
approached her and asked, 'Mrs. Jones, do you know me?'
She responded, 'Why, yes, I do know you, Mr. Williams. I've
known you since you were a young boy, and frankly, you've been a big disappointment to me. You lie, you cheat on your wife, and you manipulate people and talk about them behind their backs. You think you're a big shot when you haven't the brains to realize you never; will amount to anything more than a two-bit paper pusher. Yes, I now you.' The lawyer was stunned! Not knowing what else to do, he pointed across the room and asked, 'Mrs. Jones, do you know the defense attorney?' She again replied, 'Why, yes, I do. I've known Mr. Bradley since he was a youngster, too. He's lazy, bigoted, and he has a drinking problem. He can't build a normal relationship with anyone and his law practice is one of the worst in the entire state. Not to mention he cheated on his wife with three different women. One of them was your wife. Yes, I know him.' The defense attorney almost died.
The judge asked both counselors to approach the bench and, in a
very quiet voice, said, 'If either of you idiots asks her if she
knows me, I'll send you to the electric chair.'

Well as most of you may already know I have not been on much these days. We had a family crisis where my got very ill and was hospitalized for a week. We finally got some answers and although they are not what I wanted to hear I am glad we have some answers. So many of you have sent me emails and IMs wanting to know what he has and how he is doing.

He was diagonosed with Celiac Disease. I had never heard of it before but have been doing some reading and I am becoming familiar with it.

This is the what they have as a definition:
Celiac disease is an immune system disorder that results in damage to the lining of the small intestine when foods with gluten are eaten. Glutens are a form of protein found in some grains–notably wheat, barley, and rye. The damage to the intestine makes it hard for the body to absorb nutrients, especially fat, calcium, iron, and folate. Celiac disease also may be called celiac sprue, gluten-sensitive enteropathy, or nontropical sprue.

This is the cause of the disease:
The exact cause of celiac disease is not known; however, inheriting or developing certain irregular genes increases your susceptibility. You are more likely to have these abnormal genes and develop celiac disease if you have a first-degree relative (mother, father, brother, sister, , or ) with the condition. In some genetically predisposed people, environmental factors, possibly viral or bacterial infections, may cause changes in the small intestine; then, eating gluten can trigger an abnormal or irregular immune system response, resulting in celiac disease.

He is actually doing much better and has a good attitude considering what he has been given. I have to say he is handling it much better than I am. I am sure he will be fine. Right now he is still getting his strenght back after being sick for a little over 2 weeks. He lost 10 pounds the in one week and hopefully he will be able to gain that back in the near future.

I want to thank everyone for all of your thoughts and prayers. I am very furtunate to have such great friends.

Thank You all and I hope you all have a great 2008. I know I am planning on making 2008 much better than 2007.

Christmas is the one time of year when people of all religions come together to worship Jesus Christ.
It is a time where tell Santa what they want and we as parents do all we can to make sure it is under the tree. Christmas is not just any day it is an event. A day to be observed and yet easily forgotten, It is a spirit which we should permeate every part of our lives.

Christmas is a season of joy, happiness, families, friends, gift giving, and a time not to be selfish. This is a time to think of others especially those that are less fortunate then we are.
I would like to wish you all a wonderful holiday season and a very Happy New Year. May Santa bring you and your family joy, happiness and of course Peace. Stay safe and think of those less fortunate. Do something good for a stranger and be a better person in 2008.
